The beauty of Barcelona in winter

Many tourists have the tendency to associate Barcelona with beach and summer, however it is one of the cities that has more to offer during the months of autumn, winter and spring. Below I will explain the reasons why it is worth coming to this magnificent city at any time of the year and how to get the most out of it.

Architecture: There are people who love this field and there are also many others who are not too excited about it. In any case, I don't know anyone who hasn't gotten amazed by la Sagrada Familia. A unique building in the world designed by Gaudí, considered by many, his masterpiece. This building, together with many other such us La Pedrera, la Casa Batlló, la Basílica de Santa María del Mar, are here all year! Even in winter!

Art: If you like art you should know that Barcelona hosts different museums recognized worldwide for their masterpieces and their artists. Some examples are the National Museum of Art of Catalonia, the Picasso Museum of Barcelona, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Miró Foundation.

Gastronomy: Another thing I love about this city is its food. The restaurants are open all the year therefore you will be able to try the Paellas, Tapas and much more any day of the year. I recommend you to go to Carrer de Blai, the “street of tapas”. There you will find more than 15 bar/restaurants with all kinds of imaginable tapas.

Weather: Even in winter the weather is nice in Barcelona. The average temperature during the day is 13ºC and the rainy days will not usually exceed the 4 days per month. That is a key point that will allow you to enjoy all the city has to offer.

These are only some places I can recommend, however as soon as you start moving around the city you will be continuously discovering new parks, streets and monuments that will take your breath for a few seconds!

Before finishing I want to point out one last thing about the city. As you can see, there are so many different places to visit in Barcelona, therefore you will end up using a significant amount of time to move from one place to another. In order to make this part of your trip easier Lynx was born. In few words Lynx offers you electric scooters rentals with special deals for one or multiple days, so you can keep them with you even for your whole trip at a fair price. These vehicles together with the amazing Barcelona’s cycling lanes and weather makes it the perfect method of transportation for tourists for some simple reasons:

-          Its fast: You will be able to move from A to B at a speed of 25 km/h (door to door). Don’t waste time waiting for the bus or the metro nor too much time walking, otherwise you will not be able to see all what the city has to offer.

-          It is green: I are a company engaged with the environment. I want to contribute with our grain of sand  by helping to reduce the traffic of cars and buses in the city.

-          And the most important, it is FUN. You will understand this one when you try it!
